OPI Ski Teal We Drop and Don't Bossa Nova Me Around gradient toppedwith Sally Hansen Fuzz-Sea fuzzy coat

I have moved out of my funk mood, a little. Things are not great, I'm still pretty stressed financially. But I have some odd casual work that's actually with a lawyer and possibly some leave cover hours at the legal service, so I'd actually be paid. And I am going to make an application for Centeelink, so I should have a trickle of cash coming in. But I think the biggest weight off my shoulders has been actually putting my head down and doing some of my outstanding PLT assignments. Admittedly, it was partly forced, as if I didn't get certain tasks submitted, I'd have to delay he exam. Once I started tackling some of the tasks, the work became a lot less daunting.

Anyway, out of my funk also meant out of the funk in regards to nail art. The gradient with glitter is sort becoming my go-to look. What do you think of this combo? It's OPI Ski Teal We Drop and Don't Bossa Nova Me Around topped with Sally Hansen Fuzz-Sea fuzzy top coat.

And it matches my new Uniqlo jacket. I love this jacket. This and the Metalicus knit has become almost my uniform!

Revlon Whimsical

Whimsical looked so cute and pretty in the bottle. It looked like it'd be a perfect Easter egg shell. Alas, it was a hella a lot more sheer than I anticipated. I played with it for a while - I do love the actual glitters.

The first one I layered over a bright-ish blue of some description (sorry, I don't remember) and Whimsical made it look like a dark teal. The glitter accent is Maybelline Sea Quins. It's such a gorgeous blue!

I then tried to use Whimsical again, this time over a white base. This still isn't what i had expected out of the bottle. I think next time I will try a light shade of green as a base. The accent is actually my first attempt at fishtails. I must do a full mani one day. This was done with some of my OPI Euro Centrale minis. The small brushes worked well.

I actually picked this one up during the Boxing Day Sales. It's only taken me about three months to use and post pictures! :P

Emily de Molly -– Bo Peep and Monet's Garden

I had taken advantage of the long weekend to go through some of the photos that I haven't had the time to download and they are slowly going live.

These following two, were what I had on around the time my Dad first went into hospital, so it's been a while. Both are Emily de Molly, so I thought I'd post them together.

This is Bo Peep. It's a nice, summery one, although the photos made my hands look extra cooked lobster like!

And this is Monet's Garden. I think it's becoming obvious that I like green and glitter.

Emily de Molly - awesome, glittery goodness.

I've been saving these polishes until I have tried all three. For some reason though, I seem to be missing photos of the middle one! Nevermind, I will start with the two I do have photos of:

These gorgeous Emily de Molly polishes are, from left to right: Cosmic Forces, Somber Party (yes, I am indeed cringing at the americanised spelling from an Aussie polish maker) and Majestic flight (which, alas, has been discontinued, my bad for being so slow).

I really did enjoy the medium teal with a pop of colour. It was a little on the sheer side, perhaps I could try layering over a green or blue next time.

This was my sister's lemming. It was indeed a gorgeous deep purple. And big dot glitter! We both officially love big dot glitters!
