Ulta3 watermarble nails

I used Blue Marlin and Strawberry Sundae in this watermarble mani. As you can see, I need heaps more practice. But luckily I won a set of the top 15 bestseller bottles of ulta3 polish to play with from Sonailicious and have plenty of good quality cremes to play with.

My patterns are a bit off. Other people loved it, but I always end up feeling a bit ambivilent about watermarbles. I think it's because it's a bit psycheldelic and I'm just not into the 60s hippy look.

After a couple of days I added the Glisten and Glow holo top coat. Unfortunately it dulled the colour a bit, so I'm not sure if I should have done that.

Water marbling experiment

Still going through a backlog of photos. Nothing too exciting about this post. Still working on perfecting the watermarbling technique. Had a few goes with some of the polished my sister hauled for me from the States.

I ended up wearing the yellow and tan one for a couple of days, but it just didn't grow on me and I soon look it off. I don't know why I keep trying this... this look isn't even all that me, way too "hippy" for my style normally.

31 Day Challenge 2013 - 20 Water Marble

This was only my second attempt to experiment with wate rmarble nails. Despite the air bubbles and bumps, I am calling it a success. GO ME!

I used Ulta3 violet, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Turquoise and Mint Sorbet, topped with Sally Hansen Mega Shine top coat.

But of course, I wasn't satisfied with how messy them looked, so I had another go. I still had major trouble getting any sort of pattern, but I did get the air bubbles and smoothness under control. I also decided to protect my sanity a bit and only did two marble nails on each hand.
